Specialized Lab Requirements for DSIR
- Media Preparation Room: Outfitted with autoclaves, water purification plants (double distillation/RO), pH meters, and microbalances.
- Sterile Inoculation Area: Classified cleanroom containing operational HEPA-filtered Laminar Air Flow (LAF) cabinets, UV lights, and air curtains.
- Growth Rooms: Photoperiod and temperature-controlled incubation shelving with backup power generators.
- Hardening / Acclimation Facilities: Greenhouses or mist chambers for step-down transition of tissue-cultured plants to soil.
- Genetic & Diagnostic Purity Labs: ELISA microplate readers or PCR setups to verify genetic uniformity and confirm virus-free lines, aligning with **NCS-TCP** (National Certification System for Tissue Culture Plants) guidelines.
